How my puppets’ heads are made. Part 4! Contact Cement How-To

February 6, 2009

Here’s how to connect foam rubber pieces together with contact cement, after it’s tacky.

Lay the pieces side by side and press the edges together. The glue should grab hold if it is at the right tackiness. It should feel mostly dry, but still sticky.

In some spots, the glue may not be tacky enough, and it will pop apart.

Wait a little longer, like a few minutes, then continue.Pinch the edges together all the way around and go over it a couple of times, joining any gaps together.
